I'm an engineer who builds systems around AI models. Right now I'm exploring machine learning and learning it from first principles, and this is where I write down what works and what doesn't.
Most recently I built spotlit, a 6.7 MB open-weight model that ranks a web page's elements for AI browser agents, right in the browser. Before that I built:
- FleetLM: distributed inference on consumer hardware
- agent_mux: a production gateway for managing and securing MCP servers
- rankscope: a toolkit for evaluating retrieval and RAG ranking
- Lumen: a persistent memory layer for AI agents
I'm also interested in robotics, multimodal embeddings, retrieval evaluation and startups.
